Space Worldwide Appointed for Farnborough International Airshow.

Farnborough International Ltd has appointed exhibition and event management agency Space Worldwide to design and build the interiors of four major structures for the Farnborough International Airshow from 14 – 20 July 2008.

It is the first time the entire project has been awarded to a single company, and it includes building and theming the Media Centre, the Business Centre, the Exhibitor’s restaurant, the public restaurant and three coffee bars.  Space Worldwide competed in a tender process against five other leading exhibition and event management agencies from all around the UK.  To be appointed for all four projects is unprecedented in Farnborough International Airshow history.

Farnborough International Airshow is the world’s largest Airshow with over 1,500 exhibitors and almost 300,000 visitors over seven days, and this year celebrates its  60 years at Farnborough. The Airshow has been synonymous with a number of key events in aviation including The debut of De Havilland Comet 1 in 1949, the triumphant first appearance of Concorde in 1970 and more recently the UK unveiling of the Airbus A 380.
